About Me
I’m a data scientist working in the medical device industry. I’m a new father, a husband, and a person who is endlessly curious about the world! I find that last bit especially useful my line of work. I treasure spending time with my wife and daughter, love reading, and enjoy hacking away at any project I’ve got going on, physical or digital.
About This Site
This blog serves a few purposes for me:
-
Writing helps me think more clearly. Sharing what I learn forces me to distill complex ideas into something understandable and practical.
-
Many of the topics I explore—Bayesian inference, machine learning, and algorithm walkthroughs—cut across disciplines. Writing gives me a way to connect those dots.
-
I want to get better at communicating technical work. In a professional setting, writing is so often functional. This blog gives me space to practice more deliberate, thoughtful communication about whatever topic I choose, while hitting the other two points above.
This blog explores practical data science, statistics, machine learning, and more—focused on real-world use cases, frequently in the healthcare and medical device domain. My posts attempt to emphasize clarity, reproducibility, and thoughtful modeling.

This site is not intended to be a demonstration of my expertise, shameless self-promotion, or fluff for a CV. I intend for it to reflect me ‘showing my work’, or at least to represent a breadcrumb trail of parts of my own learning journey.

For those that are curious, this website is a static site built using Jekyll on Ruby. The site was originally based on Artem Sheludko’s theme, Joseph. I’ve heavily modified it to suit my own needs and all content shown is my own and not related to the original theme author.
